Everything you need to use escrow with confidence.

A step-by-step walkthrough of how Intasef protects your money, how funds move, how disputes get resolved — and answers to the questions we hear most.

Getting started

How to use Intasef, step by step.

1

Create or join an escrow

Start a new deal and share the escrow link, or open a link a buyer, seller, or client sent you. Both sides land on the same deal page.

2

Buyer funds the escrow

The buyer pays into Intasef's secure vault — not to the seller directly. The funds are held, untouched, until both sides agree the deal went as promised.

3

Seller delivers

The seller ships the goods or delivers the work, then marks the deal as delivered. The buyer gets notified instantly.

4

Buyer confirms

The buyer checks the delivery and confirms it matches what was agreed. This is the only step that releases money.

5

Funds are released

The moment the buyer confirms, Intasef releases the funds to the seller's chosen payout method. If something's wrong, either side can raise a dispute instead.

Where your money goes

How the money actually flows.

Your money never sits with the other party — it sits with Intasef, in escrow, until the deal is verified.

1

Buyer pays in

Money moves from the buyer into Intasef's escrow vault.

2

Held in escrow

Funds are locked and segregated — not accessible to either party.

3

Delivery confirmed

Buyer verifies the goods or work before anything moves further.

4

Seller gets paid

Funds release to the seller's payout method within minutes.

Your money, protected

How secure is your money with Intasef?

Every escrow is backed by the same safeguards, on every deal, every time.

🔒

Segregated vault

Escrow funds are held in accounts separate from Intasef's own operating funds — they can never be touched for business expenses.

Encrypted end-to-end

All transaction data is protected with bank-grade AES-256 encryption, both in transit and at rest.

👤

Verified identities

Every user completes KYC verification before funding or receiving an escrow, so you always know who you're dealing with.

👁

Full visibility

Both sides see the same deal status, amount, and history in real time — nothing happens without both parties knowing.

Neutral mediation

If a deal goes wrong, Intasef reviews the evidence from both sides and makes a fair, independent call — we don't take a side.

💳

Money-back guarantee

If a seller never delivers, the buyer's funds are returned in full. Escrow only ever releases on confirmed delivery.

How disputes get solved

Disputes are resolved in the open — not left to chance.

Most deals never need this. But if a buyer and seller disagree on whether a delivery met the agreement, either side can raise a dispute instead of releasing or losing funds.

The money stays locked in escrow throughout — nobody can withdraw it while a dispute is open, including Intasef.

1

Either side raises a dispute

Instead of confirming or waiting, the buyer or seller flags the deal with a reason and any evidence.

2

Both sides submit evidence

Photos, messages, delivery proof — each side has a window to make their case.

3

Intasef reviews independently

A neutral mediation team examines both submissions against the original agreement.

4

Funds are released fairly

The outcome is enforced directly from escrow — in full, in part, or refunded — typically within 24–48 hours.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Yes. Your funds sit in a segregated vault that Intasef cannot use for its own operations, and no money moves until the delivery is confirmed by the buyer or a dispute is resolved.

If nothing is delivered, the buyer simply doesn't confirm. After the agreed window passes with no delivery, the buyer can raise a dispute and get a full refund from escrow.

As soon as the buyer confirms, funds release to your chosen payout method — usually within minutes, depending on the rail (M-Pesa, bank, or crypto).

No. Intasef's mediation team reviews evidence from both parties against the original agreement and makes an independent call — the outcome isn't influenced by who paid the escrow fee.

A seller can escalate to a dispute if a buyer goes silent after delivery. Intasef reviews the delivery proof and can release funds even without buyer confirmation if the evidence is clear.

Yes, a small percentage of the deal, only charged when a transaction is successfully completed. There are no setup fees or monthly charges — see the pricing page for exact rates.

M-Pesa, Airtel Money, bank transfer, Visa/Mastercard, and crypto (USDT, Bitcoin) are all supported for funding and payout, depending on your plan.

No — Intasef supports deals starting from a small minimum, so it works just as well for a one-off sale as it does for a large freelance contract.
